Did Christ establish Baptism goals for his Apostles?
All employers that I have worked for measure success in terms of growth and achieving sales and other target goals.
To achieve these goals we are constantly barraged by ever changing programs. I tend to view
"programs" as the work of man because they do not work. "Programs" rarely address the
underlying problems that the "programs" are trying to fix.
Why is the church operated on the same basis (goals and programs) as the organizations of men? I have grown to
dislike the sales culture of work and the church. I can't think of a single case where Christ set sales goals or created a
single "program". If people would listen and do his will, then they were his disciples. It was simple. To
hear a visiting authority talk about doubling our stake in a certain period of time seems to come right from the same
script that is used in sales meetings at work.
